A medium sized interiors studio are looking for a mid-weight Interior Designer to work at their offices near London Bridge/ Borough. This is an exciting opportunity to work on unique and interesting projects, a one of a kind company in the UK. This practice have had a boom in projects during 2016 and 2017, and there appears to be no slow down as they have gone through rapid expansion and have recently moved to larger offices.
You will be joining the interiors team and expected to get stuck in straight away. Leading and working with teams in their bright, spacious and bubbly office, they have a great work ethic and like to keep their employees happy. They regularly attend events to keep up to date within the industry and cover both land based and sea-based projects.
They cover; hospitality, leisure, food & beverage and retail. Ideally experience in one or a mixture of these projects is highly beneficial. This practice cover a range on unique and unusual projects, and your creativity must be able to match that.
Must have/ be;
· A minimum of 4-6 years' experience within the interior design industry (min. 2-3 years UK experience essential),
· Experience in varying project types; ideally restaurant or leisure projects,
· Strong creative flair,
· Ability to do technical work, as well as design,
· Strong hand-sketching abilities.
· Adobe Creative Suite,
· Microsoft Office.
They will train candidates in Vectorworks if they are proficient in AutoCAD or Microstation and have exceptional design skills, but you must be able to show your design skills and an enthusiasm to learn and develop.
With 45 in their office and growing, they have a laid-back but professional atmosphere, and there is the opportunity to travel. They cover projects around the globe as far as Australia and Japan.
Working hours are Monday to Friday - 9-6. Salary negotiable, depending on experience, between £30,000 and £35,000.
