Robertson Bell are proud to be working with an impressive, educational organisation as they go out to market with a Senior Finance Officer on a temporary to permanent contract. The successful candidate will be working in term time only, giving fantastic flexibility, as well as the chance to take on supervisory responsibility, and gain experience in the month end accounting process!

The Senior Finance Officers key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the busy accounts payable function, taking on responsibilities such as processing a high volume of invoices, completing payment runs, and reconciling supplier statements.  
  • Meeting with budget holders on a regular basis to discuss spending and challenging the variances.
  • Have supervisory responsibility over the newly recruited Finance Assistant in the team, to help them grow and develop in their role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have brilliant communication skills, both written and verbal that they have utilised when liaising with budget holders during month end.
  • Ideally have previous experience within the education sector, so you are able to hit the ground running in this exciting, fast-paced organisation.
  • Be immediately available, or on a short notice period, so you can get started in this role ASAP!
