Reporting directly into a Board of Trustees, this role will require immediate start for an experienced interim senior Project Manager who can safely and smoothly lead my client through a merger of two charities in the healthcare sector to become one entity.

This role will involve leading the charity through the merger process as the charities Project Manager reporting into a Board of Trustees ensuring a smooth and successful merger. The role will involve supervising and controlling all strategic and business aspects of the charity which are necessary during the merger process.
The role will support the Board and Trustees to ensure the charity maintains their ethos, culture, mission and objectives whilst making sure there is a smooth and successful transfer into the new entity following the merger.

Job Description
I am excited to be working with my client in search of an experienced interim Project Manager with charity background experience and ideally a clear proven track record in charity organisation and governance. The charity involved is in the medical education and development sectors and would suit a Project Manager with experience of working in a healthcare setting.
As Project Manager the role will involve leading, overseeing and coordinating all facets of an organisations merger between two charities carrying out tasks to successfully facilitate the merger process and working closely with the Board of Trustees.
The role will also be key in supporting decision-making by the Chairs, and Boards on issues impacting future integration in the interim period. The aim is to ensure a smooth and efficient integration of two organisations, with a focus on maintaining continuity in operations and realising the strategic objectives of the merger.
This position requires a strong engaging leader with excellent communication and organisational skills, a truly dynamic and adaptive individual who can not only plan and oversee the merger process, but also actively engage in executing key tasks. The interim Project Manager will be instrumental in guiding the organisations through this critical transition, ensuring that the merged entity emerges stronger and more cohesive.

Qualifications and Experience:
Experience in leading the process of complex mergers and acquisitions, TUPE, preferably within the not-for-profit sector and ideally in a healthcare setting - essential
Strong understanding of charity governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.
Taking responsibility to ensure adherence to articles of association, provide leadership and guidance - essential
Excellent leadership and communication skills to coordinate efforts across teams, stakeholders and Trustees - essential
Strong financial management skills, particularly in managing constrained budgets in a non-profit context - is highly desirable
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, including experience managing relationships with Trustees - essential
A confident leader and someone who can develop clear vision and strategy for employees and capable of providing reassurance, support and confidence leading through the change - essential
Experience of managing remote relationships with internal and external stakeholders and key academic, healthcare, medical education and public sector committees - essential
Commercially and financially astute with great organisational and planning skills - essential
The ideal candidate will have the ability to think laterally, possess first class communication skills, will work proactively on their own initiative at all times - essential
Experience of project management in medical education and development/ healthcare setting with a proven track record in the charity sector is highly desirable
