Head of Tax and Treasury for a Global Technology Systems integrator

The Head of Tax & Treasury will be responsible for managing a Treasury Manager and driving key tax and treasury issues across an international Group.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage the Group’s global R&D claims process by working closely with the business to gather required source information, maintain robust supporting evidence for each claim and identify potential process improvements.
  • Manage the Group’s Transfer Pricing Policy , including calculation of transfer pricing charges, Intercompany Invoicing, preparing contemporaneous Transfer Pricing documentation and managing Transfer Pricing related enquiries from Tax Authorities
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance for a multi-national business and work closely with our outsourced compliance providers to ensure timely delivery of information to ensure all filing and payment obligations are timely met.
  • Manage withholding tax risk on cross border transactions where applicable and work with partners / customers and the business to mitigate that risk where possible.
  • Manage any queries or requests from Tax Authorities globally.
  • Work with advisors as appropriate for support on complex or technical issues
  • Manage tax issues arising from the PE structure, in particular, corporate interest restriction rules, interest payment withholding tax issues, issuance of sweet equity, etc.
  • Support Treasury manager to manage cash by location, whilst minimising cost and interest
  • Work with CFO on funding, bank relationships, foreign currency exposure
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across the Tax and Treasury function and ensure all available tools and systems are being fully utilised

  • 2 years or more experience working within an in-house tax team of a multi-national business
  • Experience managing people / teams
  • Must be able to demonstrate solid business acumen and ability to partner successfully with non-Tax people in the business
  • Strong communication skills , verbal and written
  • Practical and proactive mindset
  • CTA qualified
  • Exposure to international treasury helpful
