Our client, a rapidly growing professional services business, has an urgent requirement for an Interim Financial Controller. The initial task will be to lead the financial reporting team and in doing so strengthening the reporting standards as the business continues to grow. Other key accountabilities include:

* To support the senior management team and Board of directors to drive continued growth
* To take ownership of the financial dimensions of the business plan; to monitor, control and report financial performance
* Provide accurate management reporting to assist with key decision making
* Production of relevant commercial analysis
* Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
* Prepare statutory and management accounts
* Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
* Produce month end and year end journals
* Prepare monthly reconciliations
* Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts
* Contribute to annual budgeting and planning process
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
* Lead, manage, guide and motivate a small accounts team
* Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with a demonstrable background in being a Financial Controller / Finance Director. Previous experience of delivering on Interim assignment is essential along with a thirst and enthusiasm for reporting, financial control, transformation and business growth.
