Interim Finance Director | High-Growth Events Business| Outside IR35 | London

Harmonic Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with a high-growth B2B Events business to support them in their search for an Interim Finance Director for a period of 6 months, with great potential for permanent employment. This role will be Outside IR35 and is going to be 4 day per week engagement.

The Client

Having established themselves as a major player within the sector, our client specialises in creating immersive conferences and events across a variety of industries. With a turnover of circa £25m, our client has continued to scale internationally across several continents and is on an exciting growth trajectory.

Based from their modern offices in London, our client are renowned for their modern approach to work-life balance and operate a hybrid working week, whereby you are expected to be in the office for 3 days per week. Their culture is dynamic, entrepreneurial and has a true family-feel to it.

The Role:

This is an initial contract position with several exciting project-based work, but in the future there will be the potential to go permanent. In the short-term this role will be critical in investigating discrepancies, driving operational efficiencies and process improvements. It's therefore necessary that you have tangible process improvement experience within an SME environment.


  • Implementation and development of standardised reporting structures across multiple entities
  • Investigation into the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Implementation of data visualisation tools and technology improvements
  • Developing financial planning capabilities for management of information
  • Acting as a strategic advisor and business partner to the Senior Leadership
  • Ensuring smooth running of finance function (team of 2)
  • Ad-hoc projects

What we need to see (essential):

  • Prior experience working in a scaling environment, or in an SME.
  • Excellent background in process improvement.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive mindset

What we need to see (bonus):

  • Prior work within B2B Events.

Salary: £650-£800 (Outside IR35)

Location: London (Hybrid)
