Revive Recruitment, Chester are supporting an expanding, reputable and award-winning business with their permanent recruitment of Insurance Administrator.

POSITION: Insurance Administrator
SALARY: £15,500 per annum
HOURS: Monday to Friday

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join an extremely forward thinking, progressive business. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day servicing and administration of Insurance products in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with procedure and performance standards.

The Insurance Administrator position will consist of:

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring Team email mailboxes and taking appropriate action.
  • Processing policy amendments/cancellations.
  • Handling queries in relation to policy wording/terms.
  • Inputting quotations onto Insurance Platforms to and Web-based Quotation Portals.
  • Calling "Web Leads" - where people have left their details on our website. Establishing what they need and then allocating to the most appropriate person.
  • Allocating leads to the Sales Consultants.
  • Maintenance of Spreadsheets for reporting.
  • Reviewing policy information including claims history to confirm renewal terms/premium.
  • Issuing policy documentation.
  • Sending reminder emails/letters.
  • Contacting policyholders who pay in full to take payments over the phone.
  • Keeping policy notes and filing up to date.
  • Manually producing documents where necessary.
  • Printing and Posting documents to send to customers.
  • Processing credit/debit card and direct debit payments.
  • Printing and Posting documents to send to customers.
  • Dealing with requests from claims handlers for copies of policy schedules to confirm cover and recording pending claim details.

General Responsibilities

  • To provide administrative services to the Insurance team.
  • Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations.
  • Ensure compliance to the Complaints Handling process.
  • Develop and maintain positive ongoing relationships with the Company’s internal and external customers.
  • To conduct the business of the Company at all times in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • To undertake any other task as reasonably required.

Insurance Administrator Skills and Experience required to apply:

  • Insurance experience preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of all Microsoft office package, especially excel.
  • Confident and pleasant phone manner.
  • Ability to solve problems independently as they arise.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise own workload effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels both verbally and in writing.
