JOB SPECIFICATION: Plastic Injection Moulding Technician
Covering the afternoon shift (2:00pm to 10:00pm) you will report to the shift leader, and mentor a team of two members of the shift production team / injection moulding technicians / engineer.
The role will feature you bringing problem solving skills, experience, knowledge and understanding of the plastic injection moulding process / plastic processing to the team, throughout the shift.
We are looking for you to provide hands-on plastic injection moulding technical support to the production team to include tool changing and machine setting as required.
You will also be responsible for helping to organise the shift production team to achieve output requirements whilst reducing waste within the manufacturing process, scrap, rework, consumables, etc.
REQUIREMENTS: Plastic Injection Moulding Technician
To be considered for this role you MUST:
·Be an experienced operator / senior technician / process technician in the field of plastic injection moulding / plastic processing.
·Have hands on experience with some / all of the following machinery brands: Haitian, Zhafir, Engel, Krauss Maffei, Boy, Arburg, Negri Bossi, Battenfeld.
·Be a problem solver and be able to identify quality issues as they arise, and have the capacity to run up new processes.
You will be personable and have good communication skills. You will also have a sense of commerciality and an appreciation of the impact of waste and downtime within a plastic injection moulding production process.
The perfect candidate will have IMT qualifications, though a broad knowledge and experience would also be sufficient. Any understanding of electrical / mechanical fault finding and analysis would be a bonus.
