Information Security Operations Consultant

Up to £700/day Inside IR35

3 - 6 month contract

Remote with occasional travel to Portsmouth

We have a brilliant opportunity to join an industry-leading utility company based in the Southeast. They are going through a period of growth, undergoing multiple digital, and tech transformations. They are investing heavily in Security and have embarked on a 5-year cyber security programme. As a UK Critical National Infrastructure provider, Information Security is an integral part of their business operation, so this role is critical to the business.

The Security Consultant will engage as one of several Information Security Specialists working within the Cyber Security Programme. You will develop Microsoft Sentinel SIEM use cases, rules, correlations, and dashboards using KQL. You will participate in SOC activities and will work with Cybersecurity and other IT support teams as needed in support of Sentinel aspects of incident response.

Experience required:

  • Proficiency in Kusto Query Language (KQL)
  • Knowledge of Azure Sentinel components and Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Intermediate PowerShell experience.
  • Strong incident response experience
  • Familiarity with different security attack vectors and protection measures
  • Experience with Sentinel data connectors, custom connectors, workbooks, analytics rules, automation playbooks, and RBAC implementation.
  • You must be SC Cleared or be eligible for SC Clearance
