We are delighted to be working on behalf on an iconic industry brand based close to Bristol, now looking to appoint an Indirect Tax Manager. This role will help shape and support international indirect tax advisory in a in a dynamic setting and will drive proactive business engagement to identify and manage indirect tax opportunities and risks.

Role

Working alongside a strong team of Tax professionals, you will be involved in building out the indirect tax strategy. Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to due diligence activities and structuring advice as required for M&A activities and supporting on subsequent integration activities
  • Collaborating with the Corporate Tax team to effectively review and report on legislative developments and identify new business activities with VAT implications
  • VAT Compliance Oversight: Overall responsibility for all VAT compliance of relevant entities. Prepare periodic and annual VAT returns, manage relationships with local tax authorities, and handle audits
  • Research and Impact Modelling: Research and model impacts of important VAT legislative and policy proposals. Implement appropriate strategies and solutions in response to new VAT rules.
  • Forging closer working relations with HMRC

About You

As a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or qualified Tax Accountant (CTA), you will have experience in Big 4 and/or in-house indirect tax advisory. With experience of managing relationships with tax authorities and tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions, you will also bring strong project management and technical advisory skills to deal with multiple priority, fast-moving, ground-breaking, and complex projects.
