Reed Supply Chain & Procurement are now looking for an Import Clerk to join them in a brand-new Key Accounts department. This company are growing in a down turning market so could be a good option to future proof your Imports career?
As the Import Clerk, you will manage and oversee imported goods for volume accounts, charging, costing, and arranging the movement of goods and flow of paperwork to ensure Customs clearances are obtained quickly and deliveries made in good time.
Import Clerk Duties;
- Efficiently handle multimodal freight import operations from start to finish
- Coordinate with shipping lines, transport companies, and customers to ensure timely delivery
- Manage all necessary documentation for customs and compliance purposes
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving any issues that may arise during the import process
Ideal Candidate;
- Similar experience in sea/air freight or import operations
- Strong understanding of import regulations and documentation
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in industry-standard software and Microsoft Office Suite
