Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (5 days per week)

Reed In Colchester are supporting our rapidly growing client seeking an Import Export Manager to join their team in Colchester. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to manage a brand new division for this company and recruit a team around them in time. The successful candidate will have previous Import Export Management or Supervisory experience  .

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee the preparation and review of export documentation, including shipping labels, invoices, and customs declarations.
• Ensure adherence to import regulations, liaise with customs authorities, and address any issues related to compliance.
• Supplier and Customer Relationships:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers and customers to facilitate smooth communication and transactions.
• Monitor export and import costs, negotiate with suppliers, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Conduct risk assessments related to international trade, implement risk mitigation strategies, and stay informed about potential challenges.
• Stay abreast of changes in export and import regulations, ensuring the company's compliance and adapting processes accordingly.
• Work closely with the entire team to achieve export and import goals.

The Ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in export and import management or a related role.
• In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and great attention to detail
