ICU Staff Nurse

Overview:

We're actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered General Nurses (Band 5) to join our team as agency nurses within the Lothians. Specifically, we're looking for individuals with experience and full training to work in an Intensive Care Unit.

In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering top-quality nursing care to patients, addressing both their physical needs and emotional well-being. Your expertise in intensive care will be crucial in achieving exceptional patient outcomes and contributing to the overall success of our health care facility.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and managing patients with complex medical conditions
• Administering medications, performing procedures, and providing advanced nursing interventions as required.
• Collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other health care professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for each patient.
• Assessing patient's responses to treatment and adjusting interventions accordingly.
• Ensuring the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date medical records, including vital signs, medications, and procedures performed.
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families during highly stressful and uncertain times.
• Adhering to strict infection control protocols and maintaining a clean and safe environment in the ICU.

Requirements:

• NMC registration
• A minimum of 12 months post qualified work experience
• Experienced working in ITU wards
• Effective teamwork and the ability to work independently

Competitive and Clear Pay Rates:

• Monday to Friday Day Shift: £36.17 per hour
• Saturday Day Shift: £47.02 per hour
• Sunday Day and Night Shift: £57.86 per hour
• Monday to Saturday Night Shift: £47.02 per hour
