We need an inspirational Teacher of Humanities specialist to join the Humanities department ASAP at this 'Good' School based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Pay Rate: Pay to Scale - M1-M6 (£160 - £230)

Start: September 2024, with a view to go permanent

This lovely school is a supportive school with strong subject and senior leadership to help you develop. They are looking for a highly ambitious, committed and dynamic professional to join the Humanities department who is passionate about their subject, communicates well with young people and makes a positive impact on their learning.

The successful candidate will have a passion about learning, have strong inter-personal skills, be resilient, be an excellent teacher and have great subject knowledge including experience of GCSE specifications.

The successful candidate will be expected to help run after school activities, which is likely to focus on supporting students in small group interventions, or may include running a club as part of our Extended Schools Provision.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Experience working as a teacher within Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Experience teaching Geography and/or R.E and History
  • Have Eligibility to work in the UK or be UK resident
  • Have at least 6 months school based experience of working in a UK secondary school setting
  • Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
  • Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
