Domus Recruitment are working on an exciting role with our client, who are looking for a HR Manager for their medium-sized Health & Social Care business. As the HR Manager, your role is pivotal in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and optimizing human capital to deliver exceptional care & support services.

This is an exciting opportunity for any experienced HR professionals, looking to take the next step in their career – and to become our client’s first ever HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities of a HR Manager

  • Provide advice, guidance and interpretation of conditions of service and policies for all managers and staff promoting the consistent application of HR policies, practices and procedures across the organisation.
  • Produce management information reports and data to ensure that managers are aware of actions that need to be taken to monitor compliance with organisation policies to support the delivery of an effective HR service for the organisation.  This will include annual pay reviews and exit interviews.
  • Produce learning reviews to ensure that common themes, patterns and learning are shared with the organisation and when required implemented into policy and practice to mitigate/minimise future occurrences. 
  • To produce analytics and reporting to relevant teams and departments, i.e. key HR metrics such as turnover rates, retention, employee satisfaction and training effectiveness.   This information will be used effectively to identify trends, areas of improvement and opportunities.
  • Assist with the management of sickness absence cases, liaising with relevant Occupational Health support to achieve the swift resolution of individual cases.
HR Manager Requirements:
  • Practical knowledge of Human Resources processes and administrative procedures.
  • Experience of regulated services within adult social care or Housing is an advantage.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of employment law issues and best practices.
  • Experience in recruiting and the appropriate processes and regulatory requirements. 
  • Ability to undertake formal and informal meetings. 
  • Ability to project plan and manage.
  • Ability to work autonomously and create own work plan.
