We’re seeking a talented and experienced HR Manager to join a leading construction/manufacturing organisation based in Hereford.

In this opportunity you will take a pivotal stand-alone role as HR Manager, providing and supporting the full scope of HR responsibilities along with partnering with the wider management team in providing expertise and guidance to 200 employees.

You be joining a market leader in what they do, with further growth plans taking shape. And following a recent acquisition by a leading UK household name, this is a great time to join as you can enjoy the best of both worlds. This organisation still operates independently, staying true to its heritage, strong family values and its supportive culture, which ensure you can help shape and influence its local people plans whilst having access to support, tools, and a wider group network.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will take the responsibility in leading and driving projects, whilst delivering HR expertise and excellence daily. With the key elements to include:

Maintaining and enhancing the current human resources policies, programs, training, and practices where needed.

Manage the full employee lifecycle, covering two sites in Hereford and a smaller site just across the border in Wales.

Providing HR expertise, development, and delivery of all areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, workforce planning, benefits, communication, employee recognition, wellbeing, training and development and so much more.

Also involved in this role will be the coaching and developing managers on all areas of HR policy, procedure and practice. Working with managers to recognise development opportunities for their teams, and to arrange appropriate learning and development actions plans.

And help shape and manage employee engagement initiatives, communication plans, and culture boosting activities.

We’d love to hear from HR professionals who thrive working in standalone role, who ideally have worked within a manufacturing or construction environment and qualified to CIPD Level 5.

You’ll enjoy the variety this type of role brings, relish having a visible presence to their employees and able to work in full time role (with the option to work one day a week from home).

With the occasional travel to their other sites, this is best suited to a car driver/owner.
