HR Advisor Part Time
Are you an HR professional with a passion for driving business performance through exceptional human resources management? AJ Chambers are working with a highly ambitious and growing law firm who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor with a passion for ER to join their dynamic team. This role will offer pure autonomy and welcomes the individual to bring a wealth of knowledge and implement that into the business
Salary: Up £32500 Pro rata (Part Time 3 days a week flexible hours)
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Employee Relations and Compliance
• Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers at all levels concerning all aspects of generalist HR, ensuring advice and action taken reflects their policies, values, and compliance with employment law
• Lead on employee relations, managing ER cases end to end independently, escalating complex cases to the Director of People as required
• Regularly review and propose updates to People policies and processes to reflect changes to local legislation
Recruitment
• Collaborate with hiring managers on the delivery of recruitment campaigns e.g. drafting job descriptions, job advertising, partnering with recruitment agencies, coordinating candidate testing and interviews
• Effectively maintain the ATS, updating recruitment activity for reporting
• Prepare, coordinate referencing checks, collate onboarding documents, create new users in HR system (1HR)
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, conduct People inductions with new starters, support hiring managers with induction process.
Total Rewards
• Act as the point of contact for payroll and employee benefits queries
• Update monthly payroll changes report and collate payroll documents for checking and sign
Skills, Experience, and Characteristics:
- CIPD Qualified
- A foundational understanding of Human Resources Management across all core areas: recruitment, reward, performance management, learning & development.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law with experience in managing cases to conclusion.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication abilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- A professional qualification (CIPD or equivalent) is highly desirable.
