An exciting position has become available for a permanent HR Advisor to join our successful client based in the Gateshead area. The role reports to the HR Business Partner and is responsible for the provision of generalist HR advice to a range of stakeholders within a fast-paced and commercial environment.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of the HR team to ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures to ensure the effective management of Human Resources within legislation and best practice.
  • Assist in managing recruitment processes to support the business and develop strategies to enhance and make improvements across the entire recruitment and onboarding process.
  • Provide advice and guidance on all aspects of Employee Relations including: Absence Management; conduct Disciplinary and Grievance issues; Capability and Performance Management.
  • Support the payroll function with any queries in relation to Starters; Leavers; Maternity and Paternity.
  • Coach and upskill managers and team leaders to manage all people matters within their teams.
  • Provide advice and guidance on Training and Development activity.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and projects.
  • Assist with any HR administration activities.

Ideally applicants with have demonstrable HR experience gained from within a fast-paced commercial environment. Candidates should be able to work independently and directly with senior stakeholders and have proven experience of supporting Employee Relations case management. This role will suit an experienced HR Assistant or HR Officer who is looking to develop into a fully-fledged HR Advisor position.
