Job title: Hospital Manager

Location: Magna House, Main Road, Anwick, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 9SJ

Rate Of Pay: £65,000 - £75,000

Contract Hours: 40 hours per week

Main duties of the role

· Reporting directly to the Hospital Director and registered manager

· Responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the hospital

· Ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to our patients.

· Ensuring that we provide a safe and therapeutic environment for our patients to overall improve their outcomes.

· Direct line management responsibilities, supervision, appraisals etc, acting as a mentor to the team and guiding the team to succeed.

· Maintain professional relationships with key system partners. Working collaboratively to ensure effective care delivery.

· Ensure safe medications management

· Ensure the hospital captures effective and safe record keeping

· Working within a governance framework to check compliance/ Quality assurance

· Ensure safe staffing levels are achieved

Information about the service

Magna House is an 29-bed hospital in Lincolnshire, providing acute care to people who are experiencing mental health issues. We provide care in a safe and therapeutic environment in which a dedicated team will place each individual at the centre of their care. Our aim is to support each individual to move out of hospital at a pace that is right for them.

At Magna House our accommodation is provided across multiple cottage units, which provide a homely environment to enable those who have mental health issues to recover. Each cottage unit provides gender specific facilities, with access to outside spaces. Each individual has their own bedroom with en-suite facilities, along with communal living facilities.

A further therapies area provides facilities for physical health assessment, therapeutic activity, physical activity, occupational therapy assessments and psychological therapy.

Personal Specification

· NMC registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

· Significant management experience in a similar environment.

· Good understanding of Mental Health Act 1983 and the MHA code of practice

· Previous CQC registration (desired)

· Good track record of positive inspections

· Experience in managing staff, motivating teams and recruiting new staff members.

· An understanding of staff induction, supervision, and appraisal processes.

· Leadership and collaborative working style.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Flexibility required and ability to share on call in 24 hr working environment.

· A commitment to the provision of high quality care with an interest in the care, learning and development of vulnerable adults in designated service user type.
