Part-time Homes Ownership Co-ordinator (Conveyancing)

Are you an experienced administrator with good working knowledge of property acquisitions and disposal (conveyancing), who would relish the opportunity to work for a successful social enterprise that takes pride in looking after its employees? If so, you'll be interested to hear that North Wales Housing have an exciting part time opportunity for a Homes Ownership Co-ordinator to join the team in Llandudno Junction.

Who will I be working with?

As an ambitious social enterprise North Wales Housing Association provides homes and delivers services to over 2,500 households across North Wales. The growing organisation employs around 200 people and is proud to be accredited with an 'Investors in People' award.

So, what will the role of Homes Ownership Co-ordinator entail?

Reporting to the Head of Older Persons, you'll be responsible for co-ordinating and managing the Association's Homes Ownership functions, with duties to include but not be limited to:

  • Co-ordinating and managing the promotion and marketing of properties under various 'Home Ownership' schemes
  • Liaising with external housing associations in relation to the affordable housing register
  • Carrying out applicant assessments, creating sales particulars, organising appointments with valuers and solicitors, and liaising with internal colleagues within the Housing / Finance team
  • Undertaking property inspections, co-ordinating technical officer surveys as deemed necessary, for properties which are to be returned to rent
  • Liaise with the Welsh Government and Finance Department with regard to grant claims and the repurchasing of shared ownership sales
  • Co-ordinating and managing the letting of commercial leases

What will I need in order to be considered for this Homes Ownership Co-ordinator role?

  • Proven experience working in an administrative role, with good working knowledge of the legal framework of property acquisitions and disposal (conveyancing)
  • Solid understanding of tenancy agreements and leases, and general knowledge of building construction in relation to inspections
  • Ability to hold everyday conversations in Welsh
  • Highly organised, with superb numeracy and administration skills
  • Good standard of education
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive 'can do' attitude with the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • IT literacy
  • A willingness to undertake relevant training
  • A valid UK driving licence and own transport

What will I receive in return?

Salary: £18,132 - £20,514 per annum (pro rata)

Contracted hours: 28 hours per week

Location: Llandudno Junction (Conwy County, North Wales)

Contract type: Temporary for 6 months
