An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse qualified home care manager to join the respite unit of a 110 bed care home that caters for service users with learning disabilities. The home is based in Hertfordshire.

Additional Information:

* Respite unit
* 37.5 hours a week
* 25 days annual leave increasing to 30 days after 5 years bank holidays
* Shifts - 5 days over a 7 day period to include at least one weekend in three

Essential:

* RGN/RMN or RNLD qualified
* Willingness to undertake level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care

Duties include:

As a home care manager you will be required to ensure the following:

* Lead, direct and develop a team of staff
* Oversee the day to day running of the respite service
* Assess, plan and implement individual care plans for both existing and potential new residents
* Communicating with families and other professionals
* Ensure adequate staffing levels with fair effective rotas
