Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a Humanities Teacher to teach History and Politics in a prestigious Independent School near Gravesend. Successful candidates will be joining a school that champions trust, respect, honesty, kindness, and tolerance to foster an inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.

Candidates will ideally be able to teach both subjects to KS5 level and the role is to begin in May, continuing until the end of the academic year. This will be full time and will encompass full planning and marking responsibilities.

Responsibilities - Humanities Teacher:

  • Plan, mark, and deliver the History curriculum from KS3 to KS5 level
  • Plan, mark, and deliver the Politics curriculum at KS5 level
  • Ensure sustained academic growth & engagement in your pupils
  • Effective classroom & individual behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Liaise with colleagues and parents to ensure a high standard of support for all pupils
  • Establish a safe and welcoming space for pupils to learn and grow

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, we will require the following:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an alternative, equivalent qualification
  • Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Legal right to work in the UK
