Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Refuse Collector to work within Kirklees Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £14.88 per hour for this role. 

The role:

As a Highway Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of highways and related infrastructure projects. Your duties will include inspecting construction and maintenance activities, documenting findings, and ensuring adherence to specifications and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of highway construction sites to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Monitor the quality of materials used in highway construction and maintenance activities, including asphalt, concrete, signage, and barriers.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection findings, including photographs, measurements, and written reports.
  • Verify that contractors and subcontractors follow approved methods and procedures during construction and maintenance activities.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and ensure that appropriate safety measures are in place at construction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to highway construction and maintenance.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
