The Role

Capita's Real Estate and Infrastructure have an exciting job opportunity for a Data Analyst based in our London office.

Capita's High Performing Buildings (HPB) service is an IoT (Internet of Things)/Big Data - enabled solution for optimising workplace productivity/wellbeing, sustainability performance and asset efficiency. The role sits within a small but fast-paced team, working on the forefront of smart building technology and innovation within the property/facilities management & sustainability sphere. The successful candidate will use analytics to derive insight from Big Data, whilst growing and developing processes to improve the service as the business scales. This role is suitable for an analytically minded graduate, with numerical and computing proficiency and an interest in sustainability and the science of workplace productivity/cognitive function.

Experience Required

  • Degree in a related field, such as data science or psychology, with significant experience of statistics.
  • General affinity for logic and problem solving and process development.
  • Analytical/statistical skills and numerical ability to query data and derive insight from Big Data sets.
  • Ability to learn new applications and tools.
  • Personable manner to work with numerous colleagues and clients
  • The ability to communicate complex data and insights with concision.


  • Master's degree in related field.
  • Knowledge of general purpose coding languages to support the automation of statistical analysis/modelling, reporting, data management, writing algorithms, etc.
  • Understanding of IoT technology and the IoT landscape.
