A world-renowned business who specialises in the supply of high-quality components into the automotive industry are currently looking to recruit a HGV Test Technician. This business is developing evolutionary and revolutionary solutions to the industry, launching more than 20 new products in the last couple of years.

Role & Responsibilities:

For this role will have responsibility for the testing of brake systems on commercial vehicles. In this role you will be expected to maintain the test vehicle fleet, set up test samples on the test vehicles in readiness for testing and carry out prescribed test schedules on test track and public highways.

• Be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the test vehicle fleet
• Responsible for the Installation of test specimens on the test vehicles for the purposes of validation testing.
• Capable (after training) of Test-driving test vehicles on track and public highways.
• Monitor test processes and produce reports using test data.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Commercial Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship
• Qualified to Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
• City and Guilds Motor vehicle engineering Level 3 vehicle mechanic course
• HGV license
• Minimum 2 years' experience, post apprenticeship, in a commercial vehicle garage
