We are currently seeking a dedicated HGV2 Driver to join our team in Burton-On-Trent. As a prominent global supplier of pharmaceutical items, specializing in vitamins, minerals, health supplements, specialist foods, and natural beauty products, we offer an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced HGV2 driver.

Job Description:

As an integral part of our distribution team, you will:

  • Drive and operate an HGV2 for the nationwide distribution of pharmaceutical items.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the HGV Class 2 vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
  • Perform pre and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain roadworthiness.
  • Load and unload goods using appropriate methods, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Deliver goods promptly and efficiently to designated locations.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, including delivery notes and timesheets.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers for a smooth delivery process.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and relevant legal requirements.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • C entitlement on driving license with a minimum of 6 months and 6 months of HGV driving experience.
  • Cage experience.
  • Proven experience as an HGV2 driver.
  • Experience in store deliveries is ideal but not essential.
  • Valid digital tacho and CPC card.
  • No more than 6 points on the license.
  • Safety boots and hi-vis vest.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a range of early start times between 1 am and 4 am.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Start times between 1 am and 4 am.
  • 8 to 12-hour shifts.
