The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Weybridge area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team on Nights.

Hours: Sunday to Saturday, 19:00pm until 07:00am or 22:00pm until 10:00am.

Pay Rate: £16.85 per hour PAYE, rising to £17.50 per hour after 12 weeks.

Location: Weybridge, KT13.

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units.
  • Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift.
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
