Healthcare Assistant (HCA)

About the role:

We are currently looking for female* Health Care Assistant for an adult male with autonomic dysreflexia. You will be expected to promote personal care and general household duties. Health Care Assistants are preferred to have some experience in spinal care, but this is not essential as full training will be given.

Interserve Healthcare is a leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs.

As a Care Assistant in this role, duties will vary dependent on each client's individual care plan. These may include personal care, assistance with moving and handling, support with community outings and medication administration.

Shifts and rates
Rates of pay range from £8.50 to £11.50 per hour. Days (07:00 - 10:00, 10:00 - 15:00, 12:00 - 16:00) Waking nights (21:00 - 08:00) and sleeping nights (21:00 - 08:00) required.

We currently have both day and night shifts available.

*SDA section 7 applies.

Following skills & experience required:

• 6 months previous care experience
• Experience of working with clients with complex care needs
• Excellent communication skills.
• Have a caring and compassionate attitude
• Can commit to regular hours
