DC Personnel have a new and exciting permanent, part time opportunity to work with our well established client in Leicester as their new Health & Safety Officer

Salary : £25-£32k (DOE)
Hours : 24 hours a week - Daily hours can be negotiated.

Responsibilities:

Take lead on all H&S activities, including the creation and upkeep of H&S records and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Conduct regular inspections and audits within all departments
Investigate any reports and accidents that take place to determine the cause along with how to correct.
Prepare regular reports in detail on incidents, inspections, improvements and safety
Present health and safety training to employees on various practices.
Keep up to date with industry standards
Collaborate with department leads and employees to promote awareness.

Experience required:

3 Years experience as a health and safety officer within a manufacturing environment
Proficient in report writing and data analysis
Strong knowledge of H&S regulations and best practices
NEBOSH qualification is desirable
Experience with ISO 45001 is desirable
Ability to work to strict deadlines with the ability to prioritise accordingly
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to build strong working relationships
