Health & Safety Co-Ordinator

£15 to £18 per hour

Full Time Monday to Friday

Location: North Lincs

Adecco are working with a well established Logistics Company to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Co-Ordinator. Main purpose of the H&S Co-ordinator is to ensure that employees and all other users are carrying out duties complying with Group policies and procedures, while offering assistance, support and guidance to employees and relevant third party providers and stakeholders in relation to EHS subject matters.

Responsibilities

  • To always maintain a self-safety focus and lead by example and to promote a healthy and positive reporting culture amongst employees, third party partners and other port stakeholders.
  • To assist relevant business units in the development of risk assessments, safe systems of work and safe work instructions.

  • Support EHS team and Business units in preparation of audits with the collation and control of relevant documents and relevant supporting evidence.
  • Conduct and assist with internal audits and inspections in line with group requirements at local business units.
  • Partake in meetings and safety committees relating to QSHE matters within local business units - assist in taking notes and creating minutes.
  • Assist in documentational control of the Integrated Management System - assistance in control of Corrective Actions.
  • Administration control and support in relation to EHS action plans and EHS risk registers.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent IT skills (Specifically Word and Excel) and a strong administration background with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and an ability to understand and interpret information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of the organisation.
  • IOSH Managing Safely is essential with NEBOSH Certificate desirable.
  • Demonstrate desire for continuous professional development including willingness to attain a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma.
  • Knowledge of UK regulatory and legislative requirements.
  • Auditing experience a distinct advantage including Experience and knowledge of Integrated Management Systems across multiple standards.
  • A full valid driving licence is essential.
