Churchmead is a mixed, 11-18 Church of England School welcoming students of all faiths, situated on a 23 acre green belt site in the picturesque Thames side village of Datchet near Windsor in Berkshire.

We are a comparatively small secondary school in which every student is known as an individual. Our values of Courage, Compassion and Commitment are at the heart of the school. Churchmead was judged to be a "Good" school by Ofsted in our most recent inspection and we are now keen to extend this progress further as we strive to be Outstanding in every area of school life.

We are looking for an exceptional teacher and subject leader to join our school as Head of RE. As you would expect, the post of Head of RE is seen as a critical appointment for both this core department and the wider spiritual life of the school, with the appointed candidate positively contributing to the ongoing success of Churchmead. As such, we regard this opportunity as an excellent stepping stone towards Senior Leadership.

Churchmead requires its Head of R.E. to be a well-qualified, enthusiastic teacher, who is eager and committed to supporting pupils' education and their spiritual life. This role includes the strategic development of the subject area and the continued improvement of pupils R.E. attainment at KS3 and GCSE.
