Job Title: Head of Property
Location: Cheshire office, covering a national portfolio
Salary: £100,000 basic salary + car allowance + bonus + market-leading benefits package

The Opportunity
National Leisure and Hospitality chain with major plans for investment and growth across the UK who pride themselves on their family ethos and community involvement whilst being a nationally recognised brand. The business has seen significant growth over the last decade, doubling in size and, with future plans to expand, they are seeking the Hire of a Head of Property to lead a well established property team in the delivery of projects and acquisitions across the UK. This role will be integral to the ongoing growth and development of the UK portfolio as well as ensuring the properties are well maintained. Main duties of the role include:

  • Implementing a profitable property strategy including identifying new opportunities for suitable acquisitions whilst maintaining the ethos of the business
  • Presenting commercial proposals for new business opportunities to the Board of Directors
  • Management of an in-house property team and external consultants to deliver capital project programmes on time and within budget, making recommendations for improvement where appropriate
  • Overall responsibility of the management of the UK estate from strategic planning within the portfolio to ongoing maintenance and refurbishments
  • Ensuring there is a clear maintenance programme with clear KPIs across the portfolio, ensuring the highest standards of compliance, functionality and aesthetics
  • Managing the UK assets (leasehold and freehold properties)
  • Rolling out property work initiatives to support the company's sustainability strategy
  • Managing various equipment upgrades and other company assets assuming full budgetary responsibility
  • Fostering a collaborative and high performance culture through coaching and mentoring


What you'll need to succeed
The Head of Property position will be integral to the company's continued growth. It is essential you have extensive property experience within a leadership capacity in a large, multi-site organisation. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage numerous complex refurbishments (ideally within the leisure and hospitality sector). Working knowledge of building control and fire regulations and management of large maintenance budgets are essential. As Head of Property, you must be an inspirational business leader with strong communication skills. The role will require a degree of travel and their is flexible working but ideally the Head of Property will live within a commutable distance to their office in the Cheshire region.
