Could you use your experience of government and politics to help us give politicians a powerful reason to act on the climate and the natural world?If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for an exceptional, passionate, and driven individual who believes in our strategy and shares our values and beliefs.The Commitment operates within Caplor Horizons. Its purpose is to put climate change and biodiversity loss higher up the political agenda. Citizens commit to putting the health of the planet at the heart of their decision when they vote in all elections. We then take their Commitments to their local politicians (MPs; members of the parliaments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland; Councillors) demonstrating the depth of demand for bolder action on the climate and the natural world.The Head of Political Engagement role proactively contributes to the strategy of the organisation, specifically focused on our work with politicians.It involves working alongside the Co-Directors to: Broaden our political engagement strategy Identify key politicians at all significant levels of UK government Devise the optimal methods and materials for engaging politicians Build influential relationships with politicians Monitor politicians' words and actions as a result of our engagement Design and conduct research into political engagement Maintain and contribute to our organisational cultureSalary: £35,000 to £45,000/annum depending on experienceHours: Full TimeLocation: UK based (remote working, with some travel in UK required)Deadline: Sunday 24th October 2021 at 23:00 BSTFor more info and to apply, please refer to the 'Application Pack' document.
