Role Overview:

Seeking a skilled Head of Payroll to lead the payroll team with confidence and expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing payroll operations and client portfolios effectively. This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone who can drive strategy, inspire a team, and deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the payroll team.
  • Oversee multi-cycle payrolls to maintain accuracy and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and client success.
  • Manage P&L accounts with a focus on year-on-year margin improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of payroll professionals in their growth and development.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals.
  • Proven experience in a similar senior payroll role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage payroll teams effectively.
  • Preference for candidates with UK accountancy practice experience, though industry professionals will also be considered.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
