We are seeking a Head of Finance and Operations for a small but rapidly growing company, based in Winchester. The business is at the cutting edge of creativity and design within the digital marketing & branding sector. This is an opportunity to shape a newly created role where you can have a positive impact on the financial growth of the business and optimise future strategy.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Financial control – all financial reporting and planning for the company
  • Budgets – annual budget process and providing insightful analysis
  • Cashflow management – day-to-day liquidity and cash investment
  • Operations – overseeing IT and operations to ensure smooth processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements both externally and internally
  • Strategic planning – driving business objectives with the SLT and the board
  • Risk management – pragmatically reviewing business opportunities to maximise profit whilst minimising risk
  • Pricing – optimising profit through competitive pricing strategies

What you will need:
  • The organisation are seeking someone with specific, current or previous, experience of working within a creative/marketing based business to possess an understanding of their creativity-led culture!
  • To be a qualified accountant – ACCA / CIMA / ACA with relevant post-qualification experience
  • Extensive experience in a similar role, such as Head of Finance and Operations / Head of Finance / Head of Financial Operations / Financial Controller / Finance Director / Finance Manager
  • A working background in a creative, marketing or technology-based business
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced Excel and ability to use MI tools to analyse information
