A thriving and outstanding independent prep school in Kent are searching for a Head of English for September 2019. This is a full time and permanent role.
This independent prep school is an inspiring place to learn for children - there is a warm, caring atmosphere alongside an enriched curriculum, first class facilities and a friendly and collaborative staff room. The school offers an excellent all-round education, providing academic excellence, sporting achievement and the freedom to explore the arts. Nevertheless, the Head is equally focused on delivering excellent pastoral care and developing the social, creative and emotional side of each pupil. The school has also recently been able to make significant investment in its infrastructure and facilities and thus it is an exciting time to join the school.
The Head is looking for a passionate English teacher who will be responsible for ensuring that the provision of English across the school is outstanding and everyone is engaged positively in learning and standards of progress are excellent. The successful candidate will be a committed and engaging classroom practitioner with experience of teaching English either at Common Entrance, GCSE or Senior level. The role will entail teaching English across KS2 and 3, including Common Entrance and Scholarship.
