The Head of Digital Student Experience and Operations will play a vital role in leading the day-to-day operational delivery and student experience in all digital programmes. This is a challenging leadership role which will help achieve outstanding student outcomes and high-quality digital learning experiences.

Operational excellence in the day-to-day delivery of Study Group Digital Learning (SGDL) is essential for all stakeholders. The role will oversee administrative activities within SGDL including staffing, timetabling, quality assurance, academic calendars, and induction schedules. With an eye for accuracy, the role will also ensure streamlined processes and activities are completed at the optimum time.

Quality student experience for the bespoke needs of SGDL digital students is key to our student’s success and satisfaction. The role will manage specialist digital student experience activities and roles including well-being, safeguarding, enrichment, community building, and our progression support programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Lead and execute the strategic vision for SGDL operations and the student experience team.
  • Collaborate with senior management and Study Group functions to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Manage and develop direct reports, ensuring performance objectives are set, reviewed, and formally evaluated.
  • Drive best practices in digital programme delivery.
  • Ensure quality assurance and reporting compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations for programme delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior management to enhance student outcomes.
  • Streamline processes and implement improvements as needed.
  • Contribute to operational planning and roll-out of new programmes.
  • Manage and report on student data and fee payments.
  • Manage customer service operations to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead for digital programmes.
  • Oversee Student Wellbeing and Enrichment initiatives.
  • Collaborate with network colleagues and partner universities for joint projects and best practice sharing.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Essential)
  • Administration or management training or qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience working in an educational context (Essential) with international students (Desirable)
  • Proven experience in line management and target setting (Essential)
  • Evidenced experience in data management and interpretation (Essential)
  • Experience providing advice, guidance, or student support in the context of education or training (Essential)
  • Experience developing or delivering initiatives with a strong customer service and results focus (Essential)
  • Experience in process development, including training others (Essential)
