Large Public Sector body looking to recruit a head of business services
Your new company
Large public body based in Central Manchester are looking to recruit a head of business services. This organisation has an excellent reputation in their field and are working on a number of projects that will affect the landscape of the UK. They are now looking to recruit a candidate who can lead various teams across the centre and improve performance.
Your new role
It will be your responsibility to lead a large, cross functional team within a shared service environment. You will lead a variety of transactional services including HR admin, P2P, payroll and master data. It will also be your responsibility to deliver compliance in line with internal governance whilst upholding controls and processes. This is a highly strategic position and you will set the strategic direction for continuous improvement projects within business support. Also it will be your responsibility to develop and lead strategy regarding change management within the centre.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be fully qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/CIPFA) with experience of leading within a business services or shared services environment. The team contains over 100 FTE's so strong team management in essential to this position. You must have experience of leading large continuous improvement programs and have the ability to develop relationships within members of the senior leadership team. Experience of managing governance is also required.
