I'm partnered with a repeat client who are seeking a new Head of Financial and Management Accounts to join their innovative, growing organisation in south Oxfordshire. This permanent role will be integral to this organisation's continued transformation and offers the opportunity to work at the heart of the business and heavily involved with an exciting period of change. Reporting into the Head of Finance you will be responsible for a small team of accountants and will work closely with the business partnering team in this projects-based environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing preparation of Statutory Accounts and leading on engagement with external Auditors
  • Leading on producing quarterly management accounts
  • Managing VAT return process
  • Maintaining a robust internal control environment
  • Providing guidance and advice to members of finance team
  • Actively managing Financial Accounting and Management Reporting team, ensuring that appraisals and regular one-to-one meetings take place to develop the skills and behaviours of the team.
  • Working with external stakeholders such as Auditors, Corp Tax team, IUK Finance team to ensure smooth financial management
  • Leading the effective delivery of a high performing Finance service, through the further development of the Financial Accounting and Management Reporting

You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience managing teams. Salary is dependent on experience and comes with good benefits and hybrid working (3 days in office)
