A Hardware Engineer / Research Engineer focused on Python is urgently required to join a scientific start-up company based in the heart of Oxfordshire.

Joining a small team of exceptionally talented Engineers, the Python Hardware Engineer / Research Engineer will work within a lab environment, running mission critical experiments providing the company with an enormous amount of data, enabling the development and improvement of their new and existing product suite.

The Research Engineer, will also get involved in developing backend infrastructure using Flask and Python software solutions running in the cloud (AWS). 

The company have developed a cloud-based software product powered by Python and Machine Learning algorithms, an IoT project focussing on renewable energy systems, set to revolutionise the industry. Having secured contracts with several large energy companies, this forward thinking start-up is on their way to becoming a market leader!

What’s required of the Research Engineer?

• Educated to a degree level in a subject such as; Physics, Natural Sciences or Engineering
• Previous experience working within a lab environment
• Experience with Python programming
• Any experience with IoT protocols such as; Modbus, CAN bus or Zigbee would be highly sought after
