Group Reporting Manager | Central Manchester | £60k-£70k | Retail

Job Overview:

Axon Moore are delighted to be working with an outstanding organisation who are looking to make a key hire in their group finance team. Working alongside a high calibre, and experienced senior finance team it is a fantastic time to join the business to really cement your mark in a pivotal position.

The role ideally suits an ACA Qualified Accountant, having trained in a Top 6 accountancy practice, and has successfully transitions into industry - ideally in a group environment. The role will focus on supporting the audit, statutory reporting, technical finance, group consolidation, management reporting and significant exposure to projects.

This role firmly has succession planning in mind. We are looking to speak with individuals who are aspiring to continue their development and gain exposure to duties that will support your personal growth.

Location: Central Manchester
Salary: £60k-£70k

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership over the completion of the group annual report and any appropriate subsidiary accounts.
• Oversee, and take control over the production of the group’s annual and half year reporting.
• Monthly and year end consolidation, including responsibility over all statutory and consolidation adjustments.
• Proactively managing the year end audit, ensuring that all deliverables are provided in line with agreed deadlines.
• Support the continued assessment of evaluation of internal controls across all areas of statutory and financial reporting.
• Ownership over the accurate delivery of regulatory control.
• Leading and developing a team of qualified and non-qualified accountants.
• Provide support to the Group Financial Controller on an ad hoc basis as and when required.

Person Specification:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA) with experience in a Big 4/ Top 6 practice.
• It is preferable candidates will have industry experience in a Group environment.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership and management skillset.
• High level of organisation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
