Exciting new opportunity!  Our client is a high growth, services business in Manchester who are going through a period of sustained growth and are looking to supplement their group finance team. The business prides themselves on their people centric approach -  being able to provide the finance team with opportunities to develop themselves and provide career paths across the business.  You will be working closely with a talented group financial controller and CFO to ensure a robust financial control environment, develop a talented group finance team and be actively involved in a number of high profile M&A projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the preparation of all group financial reporting including monthly and year end consolidation adjustments
  •  Proactively managing the year end audit, ensuring that all deliverables are provided in line with agreed deadlines and acting as the key point of contact for the auditors
  • Ensuring strong processes and best practice controls are in place and actively monitored across all areas of statutory and financial reporting, driving improved accuracy and efficiency 
  • Ensuring a robust financial control environment 
  • Business partner with both finance and non finance on M&A projects
  • Champion a continuous improvement culture

The Successful Applicant

  • ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualified with PQE
  • Highly technical finance professional, ideally having worked within a group finance function.
  • Proven team management experience
  • Business partnering experience with both finance and non-finance teams
  • Proactive approach to process improvement
  • Good presentation skills
