Live Out Groundsman/Grounds Manager Job, Farnham, Surrey

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Groundsman to work on a 42-acre Estate in Surrey. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the extensive grounds of the property, including the kitchen garden, well-cultivated garden, lawns, lake, and woodlands.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the gardens and lawns, including mowing, edging, and weeding
  • Maintain flower beds, borders, and other landscaped areas
  • Prune and shape trees and shrubs
  • Control pests and diseases
  • Apply fertiliser and compost
  • Operate garden machinery, such as lawn mowers and trimmers
  • Maintain the grounds, including paths, patios, and drives
  • Other duties as required

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, and have previous experience working as a groundsman or in a similar role. You will have a good understanding of horticulture and gardening practices, excellent practical skills, and attention to detail. They will be physically fit and able and will have the ability to work independently and have a valid driving license.

Must have chainsaw license.

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

Hours: 32 - 40 hours per week

Salary: £35k - £45k GPA Depending on experience
