Graduate Teaching Assistant | Rainham

At Tradewind we are working with schools in Rainham to provide them with full-time graduate Teaching Assistants who have experience working with children with special educational needs (such as SEMH, ADHD or Autism). The successful candidate will have a confident classroom presence and will have the ability to quickly build a strong rapport with SEN learners, as well as have an understanding of how learning can be made engaging, adapting to the needs of learners.

We have long-term Teaching Assistant opportunities available in Nursery, Reception, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with opportunities starting ASAP and in September. To be applicable for these roles you must be available 5 days a week from 8.30 - 3.30 and live within commutable distance of Romford.

Applications are also encouraged from candidates that have experience working in a school environment.

Requirements:

  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to helping to create a fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience working with children with SEN, such as SEMH, ADHD or Autism (voluntary or paid at least two years).
  • Enthusiasm to engage children in their learning.
  • Confident in their ability to manage student behaviour.
