Graduate Teaching Assistant

This teaching assistant role is based in a two-form entry community Primary School with a friendly, inclusive staff body based in Morden, Merton. They are looking to recruit a coachable quick learner for the role of Teaching Assistant.

• Assisting in the delivery of effective teaching on a one-to-one basis or in small groups

• Helping with the delivery of lessons

• Supporting pupils in relation to their educational and behavioural development

• Preparing classroom resources

• Helping with extracurricular activities (e.g. revision sessions)

• Prepared to work 5 days per week

This is a great role for someone who is looking to take their first steps into an exciting and rewarding career in education. The school is a relatively small two-form entry school rated Good by Ofsted and particularly renowned for making the students feel included with a student ambassador program, a student council and a green team made up of students.

• A Level 2 or 3 CACHE certification

• Enthusiastic and passionate about helping children reach their academic potential

• Proficient numeracy and literacy skills

• Ability to form excellent relationships and rapport with pupils
