To be successful in this Teaching Assistant role, you will be motivated graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and a second-class degree at the very least. The perfect candidate will be able to inspire their pupils to achieve greatness and thrive in their new school. You must possess an optimistic approach to learning and incomparable relationship building skills. Ideally, the school need a graduate who is able to become a positive role model and lead by example.
In this Teaching Assistant role, you will be assigned a mentor Outstanding Teacher and if you show the desire to, you will have the chance to lead a whole class. The senior leadership team are careful to discuss career goals and aspirations with all members of staff in order to implement a useful training and CPD and training plan that will address the needs of individual employees. Part of your Teaching Assistant role will include operating primarily as a 1:1 tutor or group assistant and assisting teachers of one of the school's most popular subjects. In this Teaching Assistant role, you will have a superb chance to gain a deeper understanding of lesson planning and preparation by taking on some of these responsibilities yourself.
