Graduate Marketing Executive

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING…

The business is an event organiser, and they put on around 15 events a year. These are big events, with speakers and lots of guests.

It’s important to get as many people as possible to attend. A lot of the promotion is done on social media; and through email campaigns.

Up to now, 5 members of the team have been sharing responsibility for this, and they have done ok. But they have other things to do, and don’t have enough time to spend on Marketing. So there is loads more that can be done.

For example, responses to email campaigns are usually the same. And the LinkedIn group membership doesn’t increase by much.

They know what needs to be done to increase this, but they don’t have time to do it. So, that’s where you come in.

You’ll be shown what’s been done up to now, and what needs to be done.

This will include finding and joining LinkedIn groups, adding people to the group, and lots more.

And you’ll also have scope to come up with your own ideas. For example, adding other social media channels if you feel it will work.

There will be a strategic side: planning what needs to be done and when, in the lead up to an event.

And there is also analytical work: reviewing how things went, what went well and what didn’t.

WHAT DO YOU NEED...

A Marketing related degree, and some knowledge of social media.

WHERE YOU'LL BE DOING IT...

It’s a fun, creative environment: you’ll be working closely with colleagues who are Journalists, and Designers. The offices are not far from Manchester city-centre, Salford side. In time, there could be some scope to work from home.
