Graduate Software Developer
Salary: up to £32,000 + Benefits
Location: onsite in Didcot - 6 days remote each month
Working Hours: 38 hour working week
Contract: Permanent

A well-established business is looking to expand Software Development capabilities by hiring a Graduate Software Developer. The Graduate Software Developer will be joining a team who are willing to provide a lot of support in terms of training and development whilst also gaining exposure to delivering business essential projects.

Responsibilities for the Graduate Software Developer:

  • Programming in C++ and in .NET using WinForms
  • Working closely within a small team to deliver functionality.
  • Helping with selecting tasks and task estimation at regular sprint planning sessions.
  • Discussing requirements with product owner and other software and hardware engineers
  • Writing automated test and validating the software in context on a system
  • Updating user documentation
  • Support customers

Essential Skills for the Graduate Software Developer:

  • Good degree or MSc in Computer Science or other STEM subject, or similar qualification
  • C++
  • VB.Net
  • Strong mathematical capabilities
  • Passion for creating good user experience

Desirable Skills for the Graduate Software Developer:

  • Mathematical modelling
  • 3D geometry
  • Git
  • Unit testing / regression testing
  • Embedded programming. E.g. FPGAs/PICs
