My client is looking for a Data Analyst to join thier team near Heathrow. This is the perfect opportunity for a graduate in economics, science or mathematics.

You will be working in a team who is responsible for analysing and specifying changes required to the systems, automate processes, test changes and liaise with the Member Services department in a consulting and training capacity. They are responsible for the delivery of ad hoc projects within the department including process automation, implementing new functionality, data extracts, valuation, pension increases and annual statements.

The Project Developer will carry out routine weekly/monthly/annual tasks as well as providing reports to His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and our management team. They will also participate in a variety of ad hoc projects. They will provide support to the Member Services department regarding data and calculations. They will be expected to work as part of a close-knit team, assimilate new knowledge and deal with a wide variety of tasks.

Duties include:

• Testing casework letter templates, processes, software bug fixes and automated processes
• Carrying out regular tasks including AVC liability and reporting to internal/external groups.
• Carry out testing of new system processes.
• Monitoring and controlling Data, including the rectification where required
• Checking system calculations
• Process analysis and making recommendations for process automation and improvements
• Liaising with the DAP’s team’s customers- both internal and external
• Participating in team meetings and personal development sessions
• Checking valuation data.
• Participate in the production and checking of annual statements.
• Testing/maintaining internal spreadsheets
• Participating in large projects such as the equalisation of Guaranteed Minimum Pensions (GMP).
• Carrying out manual pension calculations to ensure that system calculations are working correctly
• Basic system maintenance such as resetting passwords and running reports.

Requirements

Degree in economics, science or mathematics.

Highly numerate

Good attention to detail

Intermediate to advanced excel skills in order to manipulate date

Analytical minded

B or above in your in GCSE Maths.
