Graduate Cover Supervisor

Are you a recent graduate? Do you have aspirations of becoming a Qualified Teacher?

Veritas Education are working exclusively with a number of secondary schools in Chorley and the surrounding area. We are looking for confident and driven graduates who can work both full and part time in the 2018/2019 Academic year.

The role of a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise pupils whilst they carry out work that has been pre-prepared by a teacher
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking work
  • Deal with any immediate problems
  • Build rapport with pupils
  • Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher

** Training Provided **

To prepare you for the role as a Cover Supervisor we will be holding free training courses:

  • Cover Supervisor Training - Level 1
  • An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Safeguarding, Child Protection and Prevent
  • Behaviour Management Training - Level 1

Cover Supervisor Person Specification:

  • Degree educated - 1st / Upper Second Class
  • Confident to engage with students and staff
  • Ability to keep students on task with pre - planned work
  • Available at short notice at least 3 days per week
  • Flexible to cover numerous subjects
  • Good organisational skills
  • Aspirations to become a teacher
